About Us

Artiga was founded in Spain’s Vilafranca del Penedès in 2002 by Martí Quer. Prior to founding Artiga, Martí spent over a decade as Head Sommelier of Aureole in Manhattan’s spectacular Bank of America Tower, before taking his fine wine knowledge to Japan, where he introduced the country’s top importers to Spain’s most exclusive wines.

From the outset, Artiga has produced high-value, high-quality, beautifully presented, award-winning Spanish wines for wine lovers across the globe, with special focus on our native varieties; from Tempranillo and Garnacha, to Xarel.lo and Moscatel de Alejandría.

Life began for Artiga in DO Tarragona and DO Campo de Borja, but we have grown to produce wines in DO Yecla, DO Jumilla, DO Penedès, DO Cava, DO Catalunya, DO Toro, DO Valdepeñas and DOCa Rioja…
