The vines are around the town of Jumilla, in the southern Spanish province of Murcia. The vines are planted between 650m and 900m above sea level and our 100+-year-old Monastrell vineyard pre-dates the great phylloxera attack that devastated the region`s viticulture in the early 20th century. This region enjoys year-round sunshine and very little rainfall, which leads to the production miniscule, low-yielding vines that boast intensely fruit-forward, well-ripened and richly juicy grapes.
